What are Pistachios?

Pistachios are green wet seeds on their tree. They are slightly sweet green and easy to eat and humans are eating them for thousands of years. Most people consider them nuts but scientifically they are seeds. Pistachios have various colors from yellow to light green. These seeds have a hard shell and they’re usually half of an inch long.

Vitamin B6 is an important vitamin for body functions, including blood sugar regulation and the formation of hemoglobin (a molecule that carries oxygen). They are cholesterol-free and a great source of vitamins and minerals like Manganese, Phosphorous, copper, and vitamin B6. It’s marvelous to know that 2 ounces of them has more potassium than a large banana and has as much fiber as a cup of cooked broccoli.
